Original Proposal Text
This proposal marks the host-chain integrations for Umee (umee-1), Stargaze (stargaze-1), and Evmos (evmos_9001-2) as halted and deprecated within Stride's liquid staking module (x/stakeibc). Upon passage, each MsgDeprecateHostZone sets halted=true and deprecated=true on the host zone, which disables new liquid staking deposits and redemptions and excludes the zones from epoch-driven operations, so they are no longer treated as active host zones. Motivation: - Evmos is halted following the approval of an 'Evmos Shutdown' governance proposal, with block production and node operations ceasing at block height 37,318,000 (approximately May 18, 2026). The block explorer, official website, and related services are now inaccessible, and there do not appear to be any plans to revive the chain. - Umee (UX Chain) is in the process of shutting down its chain. The protocol announced a mandatory liquidation process and a wind-down, with full shutdown targeted for the near future. - Stargaze has shut down its chain. The Stargaze chain was scheduled to officially shut down on June 15, 2026, with related IBC connections closing on May 15, 2026. Continuing to carry these integrations in an active state introduces operational risk and maintenance overhead without corresponding benefit to STRD holders or the broader Stride ecosystem. Voting: YES - Mark Umee, Stargaze, and Evmos host zones as halted and deprecated. NO - Make no changes; the integrations remain in their current state. ABSTAIN - Formally register a vote without expressing an opinion on the proposal. NO WITH VETO - Reject the proposal and signal that it is spam or otherwise harmful to the network.
